Aglaonema Care Tips

Aglaonema Care Tips

Light: Indirect Bright Light avoid Direct Light

Soil/Repotting: Starter Plants (2” Pots) are ready to be repotted into a larger 4”-5” Pots after recovering a few days from shipping. Plants in larger pots can be incrementally repotted as they fill out their pots. Use Indoor Plant Potting Mix medium-draining (peat or coco coir based) with some aeration material included (perlite, bark, etc..). We use Optimara Potting Mix.

Humidity/Temperature: At least 55%+ . Aglaonema prefers high humidity environments (65%+). Keep plant above 60°F.

Water: Water thoroughly whenever the top of the soil begins to feel dry to the touch. Do not allow the soil to completely dry is not drought tolerant. Water about 1-3 times per week depending on climate. Allow excess water to drain so plant doesn’t sit in soggy wet soil.

Fertilizer: Use an Indoor Houseplant Food once every 2 weeks. We use Optimara Plant Food 20-5-10. (Optimara 20-5-10 diluted per the instructions can be used for every watering Spring- Summer. Reduce Fertilizing to once per month in Fall-Winter)
